What does 'exception: No Wiimotes found in the HID device list' mean?
From Smoothboard
This is a common error from Smoothboard because your Wiimote has not been correctly connected as a HID.
This is the first time I have tried to connect
- Common fixes
- Wait (holding buttons 1 & 2) while your computer installs the hardware drivers (may take a few moments)
- Low Wiimote batteries
- You aren't the computers 'Admin' and you don't have permission to load HID's - Log on as Admin and install device, then it will connect from your normal user
- You have a firewall or virus/registry/system monitor that blocks system/registry changes - Disable during first connection, then re-enable
- Sometimes shutting down and restarting triggers the HID driver install on the restart
It has worked before
- Common fixes
- Low Wiimote batteries
- Hold buttons 1 & 2 through whole connection process, releasing just before starting application
I have tried all of this and nothing works
Read: I have tried everything and I still can't get the Wiimote to connect!
