Currently, I am using Gallery2 as my photo album organizer with the Carbon theme. One of the features I like about Gallery2 is the ability to directly view slideshows of photos from specific albums.

In this post, I will guide you on how to view slideshows of photo albums on my photo gallery. I will be using my sister’s wedding ceremony album to demonstrate.

Click the Show Sidebar Icon on the Top Left of the photo album.

The Sidebar will appear on the left side.

There are two kinds of slideshows available

• Slideshow – Displays the photos in your browser window.
• Slideshow (Fullscreen) – Displays the photos in fullscreen which requires Java.

Increase the maximum size of the images shown to about 800×800 so that the images are not too small.

For smoother transitions between pictures, select Preload all pictures and set a higher delay.

When ready, click on Start slideshow. The slideshow will be shown in fullscreen. You can pause, go forward or backward by pressing the buttons on the screen.

You can download entire photo albums from my photo gallery easily by using the cart function

After choosing the album you want to download, click Add Album To Cart which is located under the album thumbnail or on the left side bar.

The cart will be shown with the items that you have added into the cart. You can proceed to add other albums/photos into the cart.

When you have finished selecting the albums/photos you wanted, select Download in Zip on the cart actions drop box and click Go

Finally, you will be prompted to save the zip file which contains the selected items from the cart.
